Corporate Events
Many companies find having corporate events at Color Me Mine a great way to build community among their employees.  We have a great staff that can help with arranging for a variety of corporate events ranging from simple parties to fully planned teambuilding event.

Parties

Having a corporate party at Color Me Mine is a unique way for co-workers to relax together.  The different and stress-free environment seems to help people communicate more easily than at other venues.  Co-workers are often fascinated to see how one another approach the process of creating and finishing their art work.  See our parties page for details.

Teambuilding

Many corporate clients find our teambuilding approach to be the greatest.  Rather than just having a shirt to remind your team members of the teambuilding they will have a permanent work of art that represents the teamwork achieved during the event.  More importantly,

Our staff joins with your staff to form a team.  The key to any team's effectiveness is active and open communications and listening is the fundamental requirement.  We listen carefully and actively throughout our work with you.  We work hard to understand your goals and needs so we can help you design the most effective teambuilding plan for you.

The Steps

There are normally three key steps in the teambuilding process.

Planning

The first step in any successful team is to plan.  Our staff works with you to determine your needs and goals.  We need to know how many people are on your team, where you wish to have the creative process occur (our place, your place or some other place), and when.  We help you select the best ways to do the creative steps.  We work with you to select a project that is best for you and your team.  The project can be pieces of pottery for each team member or a group project such as mosaic.  Most teams like to create something that can be taken back to their workplace to serve as a permanent reminder of their creative process.

The planning process occurs between one of our experienced staff and your contact for the teambuilding effort.  The planning can be as short as a few minutes on the telephone with you or several hours over a few days

Creation

The creation step can take several forms based on your needs as determined in the planning step.  The creation step entails designing and building the work defined during the planning process.  The entire team is brought together at the desired location with the rough plan already in place.  The key first step is to review the goals for the workshop.

Our staff helps lead in the actual design of the work, being careful to involve every one of your participants.  We help your staff communicate with each other openly and positively to build the group project.  We help your staff relax and enjoy themselves while learning about the skills and interests of their co-workers.    Our staff facilitates both the creation of the project as well as the communications among the participants.

Delivery

The completed project is fired and finished by our staff so that it is ready to be delivered to you a few days after the creation.  Most clients find this delay to be a benefit to help the participants reflect on the process.   A very popular approach for the delivery step is to bring the participants together for a presentation of the finished project.  Many clients find this is ideally done at a group lunch or dinner.

Our staff reviews their observations of how the team worked during the creation process.  The finished project serves as a tangible and permanent reminder of the team  work.
